Hoddy takes you through gentle, safe and challenging moves, in this prenatal barre workout that includes free weight work, thigh exercises, standing seat-work, and abdominal strengthening performed while propped up on pillows.

What you’ll need:

A sturdy chair or portable bar

A soft strap for stretching (bathrobe tie)

Free weights (2 to 4 pounds each)

Two firm oversized throw pillows

We suggest doing the class on a carpet, rug or mat

    Good workout, but the video stops streaming at many points, then tells me it’s unavailable, then I have to start it from the beginning and try to find my place. Pretty frustrating, especially because it makes me lose momentum and flow.

    Grateful for this video, as I am currently 21.5 weeks pregnant, and I didn’t want to lose everything that I’ve worked towards before getting pregnant.

    Any plans to have a 2nd prenatal video available? Would love that so that I could get a bit more variety in my workouts.

      Hi Myra. We do plan to add more prenatal classes soon. You can also watch our prenatal DVD, learn the modifications for those specific exercises, and watch other beginner/intermediate classes and apply the modifications learned in that prenatal class as well.

    I love both of the prenatal videos, but I wish there were more!!! I know I can modify the other classes, but it is so fun having prenatal ones to workout with. Love you Bar Method!!!
